Graduate Student, Religious Studies
About
Geoff is a doctoral student in UVA’s Religious Studies Department, where he focuses on Tibetan History. His dissertation, which is currently in the process of taking shape, will focus on the history of vegetarianism in Eastern Tibet over the last three centuries. Prior to moving to Charlottesville, Geoff studied for two years at the Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts (where he met his wife, Eliza) and for four years at the Rangjung Yeshe Shedra in Kathmandu, Nepal. Outside of the classroom, Geoff enjoys spending as much time as possible in the outdoors, preferably with his wife and two-year old daughter, Meg.
